Being Funnier 5 Minutes at a Time.
How did you do with yesterday’s practice snack?
Today’s practice snack is all about expectations and assumptions. I have an app on my phone that gives me encouragement to develop a positive outlook. But, I use it for diabolical purposes like training my brain to be funnier. The phrase of the day is, “I am grateful for the love in my life.”
Your assignment is to come up with 10 follow-up thoughts that could generate a laugh. Remember though, just go for quantity and don’t censor or edit yourself by dismissing an idea. If you get stuck, start writing out questions about that statement. Some questions that come to my mind are:
- How did the love get there?
- What form is the love in?
- How much love is there really?
- Does anyone else think there is love in my life?
